Hello and welcome to my blog, where my 'Simple and Tasty Recipes' always result in a delightful culinary adventure!
My name is Sarah Visheau and I am a Red Seal certified Chef from Hamilton, Ontario currently living in Georgetown, Ontario. I graduated with Honours from the Stratford Chefs School in 1999. Since then, I have worked in and around Ontario, from Stratford, to Niagara, to Toronto and just about everywhere in between! I have worked in most facets of the food industry but these days, I am strictly freelance. I occasionally test recipes for Cottage Life magazine and was also tested over a hundred recipes for a cookbook ('All the Best Recipes', by Jane Rodmell 2009). In 2010 I began contributing a food article named ‘Culinary Adventure’ to the quarterly released ‘Sideroads of Halton Hills’ magazine.
In 2010 I also began this culinary blog! Writing my blog allows me to develop and test my own recipes, practice being an amateur food stylist and a photographer. I also get to explore our lovely province of Ontario and discover locally made ingredients, farmers' markets and so much more!
My newest culinary adventure has been to start up my own business of doing fun and insightful cooking demonstrations, specializing in hors d’oeuvres, appetizers and other party food! I’m at The CarterFarm Market in Norval, Ontario on Tuesday evenings and will come to your home to show you, your friends and family how to make great party fare!
